Services

John Garrett’s College Essay Consultancy offers two services. The first is a by-the-hour session, which can be in-person or online. This is best used for brainstorming ideas to start an essay or in-depth review. The other option is an asynchronous per-essay review, which involves our team reading your essay and giving personalized comments and advice regarding grammatical correctness, stylistic choices, and content. These two options are best used in tandem.

Biography

John Garrett is Summa Cum Laude alumnus of Loyola High School who has held tutoring positions for many years, most recently as a staff member at Study Hut. He is enrolled in Vanderbilt, having been awarded a merit-and-essay based scholarship, and will be attending in the fall. He has taken both AP English Literature and AP English Language, received 5’s in both AP tests, and achieved a 1580 on the SAT with a perfect English score.
